PUREGLAM Beauty Story: From Lash Studio to Melbourne’s Total Beauty Destination

Hi everyone, I’m the founder of PUREGLAM Beauty. After completing my studies in Canada, I chose Melbourne as my new home—a city that immediately impressed me with its culture, lifestyle, and vibrant beauty scene. With a background in aesthetics, I entered the industry and began working at one of Melbourne’s busiest eyelash extension salons shortly after becoming a certified lash technician. This moment marked the beginning of the PUREGLAM Beauty story.

Driven by precision, skill, and a commitment to quality, I progressed quickly through the three stages of lash artistry. I began as a Junior Technician, learning the fundamentals and building speed and consistency. As I gained experience, I advanced to Senior Technician, where I was trusted to solve client concerns independently, deliver stable high‑quality results, and apply lashes with faster, more confident technique. Within just a year and a half, I reached the highest level—Master Technician, a role reserved for top artists who lead by example, train others, and uphold the highest standards in the salon.

Achieving the Master Technician level gave me the confidence to take the next step. I opened a small studio in Melbourne CBD, and that intimate space became the foundation of what is now PUREGLAM Beauty.

Many people asked me about the challenges I faced in the beginning, but I never saw them as obstacles. As a Master Technician—after progressing through the Junior and Senior stages—I had already learned how to solve problems independently, maintain consistent quality, and uphold a standard where imperfection simply wasn’t acceptable. That mindset shaped everything I did. Within just a few months of opening, clients began returning regularly because they experienced what truly precise, long‑lasting, and beautifully designed eyelash extensions felt like.

As demand grew, PUREGLAM expanded quickly. Six months after opening, I moved into a larger space with two treatment rooms and began building my team. I’ve always believed that the only principle in the beauty industry is to give your absolute best to every client. That belief continues to guide my team and the entire PUREGLAM experience today.

The Innovation

I’ve always been someone who loves to innovate and never stays satisfied with what I already have. After expanding from a small studio and building my team, I kept looking for ways to bring something new to the Australian lash industry. Back then, only a few salons offered Hybrid eyelash extensions which was popular in the U.S, and I introduced the style to my menu with my own improvements in texture, balance, and mapping. Soon after, many salons began following the trend.

That mindset pushed me to keep creating. I started testing new technologies, bringing in different LED devices and LED glues from multiple countries and suppliers until PUREGLAM finally developed our own LED lash system. From there, I continued expanding our signature styles, including YY Lashes, PUREGLAM Signature Anime Lashes, and our latest innovation in December 2025: the PUREGLAM Exclusive K‑POP Lash. No more sleepy eyes—just clean, lifted, K‑inspired lashes that look fresh, defined, and beautifully eye‑opening. It’s the subtle K‑idol effect with a youthful, lightweight finish that stands out effortlessly in daily life.

The Total Beauty

After stabilising my eyelash extension services, I began bringing my professional aesthetics background into the business, shaping PUREGLAM Beauty into a true Total Beauty destination. I wanted to create a place where clients could care for everything—from their lashes to their skin to their body—in one premium, trusted environment.

To stay ahead, I travelled back to Korea twice a year to refine my aesthetic skills, update my knowledge, and study the newest technologies. I constantly searched for advanced devices, improved techniques, and high‑performance products because my goal has always been to introduce the latest aesthetic innovations to Australia with better results and higher safety standards.

Every product and machine I choose is premium and made in Korea, because I want clients to experience a level of quality they’ve never had before. PUREGLAM’s Total Beauty model is built on that commitment: combining Korean innovation, clinical‑grade technology, and meticulous technique to deliver results that feel modern, effective, and truly elevated.

The location on Collins Street

In 2024, PUREGLAM Beauty proudly relocated to a more prestigious address—the Tiffany Flagship Building at 267 Collins Street, right in the heart of Melbourne CBD. This move marked a new chapter for our brand, offering greater convenience, elevated interior design, and enhanced privacy for our clients.

With this upgrade, our focus shifted toward developing more high‑end products and services. We’ve continued to expand our offerings, including new facial treatments sourced directly from Korea, launching soon in 2026. Every step we take is driven by our commitment to innovation, safety, and results—ensuring that every client experiences the very best in modern beauty care.
